Hi,

Just wondering if anybody has any experience with particular UK card processing companies? It needs to be UK really, so we can handle UK debit cards. The only real site I've found is WorldPay, as PayPal don't offer recurring billing(which we need to offer).

Thanks for any thoughts you throw this way, don't throw them too hard :).

Hello
We use Worldpay as they allow us to offer various currencies and the charges are quite low.

Their monthly billing system is full of security holes (people can sign up using cards you are not even able to accept) but we have just written some new code which closes this gap.

Basically its desinged for people using an off the shelf shopping cart like Actinic.
If your needs are different you will have to write a lot of your own code.

Having said that, it works and the alternatives (eg netbanx) are a lot more expensive.

Oh, I should say that its not like Paypal or Instabill.
Worldpay only provide an interface between your site and a proper merchant account.
If you do not have a merchant account they will arrnage one through Natwest.
Because credit card transactions come under the consumer credit act you will have to produce evidence of your assetts to prove you can cover one months transactions should they all be charged back.
