Let us know which freebies you got. ;)

Someone I know went to it one year, and came back with a car full of promotional stuff (and a prize here and there -- some worth $$$).

Wish you luck!

One of my clients went last year and he said the same thing. Now he's hooked. Should be a great time.

Anyway what are the typical freebies?
Softwares? Hardwares?

typical freebies?

When I went to Comdex a few years ago the freebies were along the lines of Yo-Yo's... frisbees... some sort of bug (cricket maybe?? dunno) inside of a hard candy... stickers galore... t-shirts... those 'helicopter' pencils... umm... more stickers... demo CDs... a shot glass... umm... tons of literature for you to read... keychains... magazines... uhh... more literature to read.... small hand towels... umm... yeah... that's all that I can remember at the moment.

As for Comdex fees... the $1500 is probably if you're interested in going to all the various seminars. Otherwise there is the much cheaper version if you just wanna walk around to the various booths. I think Comdex has it where if you sign up early... the exhibition pass (which I had) is free... or maybe I'm confusing that with E3.

If you're in the industry and have to keep up, the boss pays the bill. ;)

Then you can have a fun time collecting what's around. After the Comdex check out Ebay. You may find folks selling their excess. :)

Especially in the processors section (some with included memory). Don't forget checking the cell phone area too. This year might be slim due to the economy, but it doesn't hurt to browse the listings. ;)

We're going this first year with just the Exhibits Only passes. I'm footing the bill for transportation, room, food, and probably most of the beer for the guys. Can't justify all the other stuff this year, especially since we're coming back on Tues afternoon. The way these guys drink, I should've made a deal that I'd pay in if they'd buy the beer!

Mmmmmm....Britney Spears...

I think I will go for this one:

Expo Plus Pass (EP) $100
Added benefits for exhibits-only attendees! Register for the Expo Plus Pass ($100) and receive these exclusive COMDEX Fall benefits: a one-year subscription (26 issues) to FORTUNE* magazine ($39.98 value), a backpack, COMDEX T-shirt, and VIP seating at all Keynotes.

Anyway can I go for the Bill Gates opening Keynote with this Pass? I would love to hear what crap hes got to say in this one.

Free Exhibition Pass or the upgrade, you can still see the William Gates.
