How about 60 by 60 pixels? Most of avatars I made are 60 x 60.:bawling:

For some reason I have a differentavatar for every forum...go figure that one?
What works on one forum, wont work on another forum and I think all mine are 50x50 or 60x60

You probably get used to the cost of bandwidth, meaning you only allow yourself to use minimum bandwidth

I wouldn't mind 60x60, as long as they're not something like 30 or 40K

An avatar should never be so large as to annoy passing birds; nor so small that it will fit in one's ear.

50 x 50 is ok. Took a little squeezing but I menaged to fit mine into here. Too large does tend to enforce Duster's comment of billboarding. There's only so much you can pack into a small space :) Transfer is another thing too I suppose. 2k isn't hard to do for something this small.
