My website(www.fashionfirst.net) seems to be down more than 30 percent of the time. Since this is my first time using a web hosting company......Im not sure if this is normal. I have called several times and I get a bunch of excuses from them.
stingya...
that's awful... however if you're trying to contact them I *think* I read that DellHost has basically just contracted another hosting company to operate its business.. I *think* it's Interliant.
Do a search for dellhost in the forum archives here and you may get some info for contact or help..
Good luck.
**NOTE: when I say contact I mean someone who can actually help... not give excuses, if that's all you get from the front line.
Felix is correct. DellHost outsources (read : resells) its hosting from Interliant.

Seems logical. I wouldn't expect Dell to setup an entire NOC for hosting. Maybe buy a hosting
company but not do it themselves from scratch.
They're trying to capitalize on the Dell name. Good idea but bad implementation. Unfortunately
that's all too typical when a known company tries to get into a new line of business. One paper
outsourcing looks good but if it PO's customers does it really do them any good?

Dell is using their name to try to gain a share of some other Internet industry. I read a few weeks ago, though can't recall what it is at the moment.

I'd love to hire the salesman who sold Dell *this* bill of goods... lol.
