Have anybody used VenturesOnline Virtual Private Servers?
If yes - what can you tell about them, are they worth buying? How is performance?

I can tell you about their overall network and service (I colo with them).
Their network is very fast and their providers for the most part have some great peering. They are currently working on getting some more providers in and upgrading some core routers (even though their network is at like 10% usage). They have a netVmg (one of like 6 in the country or something like that), and I believe their only network downtime in the last six months (including the slammer worm) was 3 minutes when their Yipes router had a software problem about a month ago or so.
I do not have a VPS with them so I can't comment on their proformance there.

I've got a VO VPS. It's not too bad, use it only for a couple small domains and my email. It's basically ensims virtual server feature. If you choose to use cpanel or plesk subtract about 700MB from the advertised diskspace and that's what you get.
No complaints here, other than some small diskspace issues (server software uses more than the 600 advertised) and tech support delays (not wihtin 30 minutes like it used to be, sometimes takes an hour or so to get a simple question resolved)

Whats the difference from the Ensims VPS and VOs VPS?

I think VO actually uses Ensim's vps feature. Ensim allows you to create "virtual servers" so that each one would have its own root, virtual hd, etc..
Check the VO forums http://www.venturesonline.com/forums for more information on how it works ;)

I have a venturesonline vps. Run a vbulletin site on it. We've been up for about a month now. Have oh about 500 members and 5000 posts, with a max of 160 give or take on at the same time. One day this past week we had a massive number of people sign up one after the other and it didn't even slow down.
Any trouble we have had has been of our own making. In terms of the server, pretty much 100% up time (I hope I am not cursing myself.)
I am on the VPS 5000 http://www.venturesonline.com/hosting/vps5000.html
I am also pretty clueless about running a site, and they have been very supportive. Some things I have had to pay for them to do that are outside the support, but even that has been very fast, and they have been patient with my newbie questions.
We use ensim, which has been fine. They did have a little bug with the installation of tomcat4, not their fault the documentation in tomcat4 told them to set the logs at one thing and it ended up setting it at debug, which resulted in this massive log, which takes up a lot of space. Once I figured out what it was they figured out how to fix it pretty fast.
I'l be happy to answer any questions, but I don't check this site very often, so you are better off emailing me with them.

Hi everyone,
I am interested in starting as a reseller with VO. Obviously I will need to buy one of their Bulk Reseller accounts.

Questions:
1. You mean that if I use Cpanel, with my BR-1000 (1gig disk space account) I will actually get 300MB of disk space!?
No complaints here, other than some small diskspace issues (server software uses more than the 600 advertised).
Question 3. Can you explain that a bit more? So how much actuall disk-space shall I get?
Thanks,
Ted.

No. There's a big difference between a bulk reseller account and a VPS account. If you have any questions about the VO product / service offerings, it might be best to contact them directly ... sales@venturesonline.com.

VPS and Reseller accounts are not the same thing :)
I have a Bulk Reseller account with VO and have had no problems. With a BR account, you are in a shared environment so the control panel doesnt take up space on your own account -- you get the full 1GB of space.
