I have a reselling account that also offers free space hosted on a subdomain which displays a banner and link back to my site. Will google recoginze these as seperate site or will they be recorded as pages of my main site? Thanks.
Last check Google does not recognize sites - i.e. each page of your own site is a separate page by itself with no influence on the other pages.

I don't believe that is so. If you go under Advanced Search you might get different results.

Pages from the same site are indented, to show that they're are from the same source.
I'm not sure how google defines a site, it would be interesting to discover if ben.smith.com is treated differently to john.smith.com, or www.smith.com/~john

Try checking on www.webmastersworld.com. They have a dedicated section on Google.

Hi there,
Google references Sub-domains as different sites. Thats if they are submitted as sub.domain.com and not www.domain.com/sub/

It seems that google is going through a major re-shuffle of the indexing and alogrithms, it seems uncertain how there indexing will be in the coming months.
