 | View Full Version : What a rip off.. cmw6988 10-27-2002, 01:40 AM A friend in a chat room showed me this webdesigner's website and what a rip off. http://www.cajun.net/webdesign/ he wants $200 per year and $20 per update. for a one page site. It says <meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0"> in the code. I think this guy is ripping off people. What do you think? Just because someone uses FrontPage doesn't make them a thief. $200/yr is only $16.67/mo, including the site. Maybe he gives great service. Value is a perception decided by the consumer. Different customers look for different things in a host. Price is only one consideration. Maybe his work isn't very 'nice' to you because your a pretty good designer...give him a break! He isn't ripping people off if his clients like the work, I've seen a lot of sites which are worse than that. Honestly. Just because someone uses a WYSIWYG editor, does not mean they are not professional. In fact, I can bet that almost all the corporate firms (Razorfish, Sapient, etc.) use such programs as Dreamweaver.
