View Full Version : First fire.....
Santoman 10-26-2002, 04:09 PM Well, I started the FIRST fire of the season today in the fireplace... Aaaahhh... Nice and warm...
Of course, alot of the wood left outside got a bit wet under the tarp, but, that's ok, I had enough on the porch to last a while...
It is a wet and cold day here in NH... We actually had SNOW the other day!!! Not that I had to blow any snow, but it was good to know, that my girlfriend bought me a snowblower for my birthday last January! I'm READY for the flakes!!!!
Aaaah, fall in New England... Always an experience!!!
Hope everyone else is having a WONDERFUL Saturday!

RotoHost 10-26-2002, 05:09 PM Hi,
While not as cold here in northwest NJ, we're still going to use the fireplace tonight. Nothing like a nice fire, a good movie and a warm blanket to relax the soul.
Now..if we can only get the kids to bed earlier........ ;)

Yeah, mine is in the living room snuggled up with the Italian Greyhound, playing on his gamecube... :)
Girlfriend and I are in the family room... She's reading, enjoying the fireplace, snuggled up with one of our greyhounds.
I'm on the computer in the family room, my golden retriever at my feet. Big day for him. He's finally gotten use to the fireplace. BIG Step for my baby. :)
All is right with the world... Except of course, for the wood being a bit wet... And me hoping for more dialup customers... And web hosting customers... OH And world Peace, got to throw world peace in there!!! :)

Well, so far, if what we've seen in OCTOBER... Hopefully we'll get LOTS of snow this year!!!!
Even though we didn't get much snow last year, when we did, we had a blast sliding in it. It was our first year in this house during the winter, and the front yard is pretty well sloaped.
My son and my girlfriend's neice and nephew were sliding in the front yard for hours having a blast.
We also have a big hill near by for sliding. It was a blast as well!!
I'm being paged... Got to go see some Cool Sonic the hedgehog stuff on the gamecube... :)

Wow... No thanks... I'll still wear shorts when I get to the gym, but that's about it... I got past that faze in my life where I had to wear shorts till December... :)
It was nice to just sit in front of the fire today... doggy by my side...
Bring on the SNOW!!!!
Actually, from what I've heard this week is supposed to be really cold, once this rain moves out today... Looks like possible snow by the end of the week!

Phrozen - Where in Maine are you? I have family in the Limestone/Fort Farefield area...
Steve
February 1st 1991 was the last time it snowed here (Houston). :( Pretty sad when you can remember the exact date. :D

Lamont 10-26-2002, 08:26 PM Hey, interactive, we have snow in Arizona. You just have to know where to find it.
Today I went over to CompUSA to do some browsing and had to sit in my van and wait for a huge hail storm to pass. The hail wasn't that big (a little bigger than pea-sized) but it was a gully-washer. That's one thing about Arizona. We don't get a lot of rain but, when we do look out. I've seen the streets flowing, gutter to gutter, six or more inches deep. Only last 10 minutes or so, though. Great lightning shows.
Lamont 10-26-2002, 08:27 PM Forgot to mention. I've seen it snow twice in the Phoenix area in the 17 years I've lived here.

Oh, that's not too bad at all! Close to the mountains, close to the beaches... :)
