Yeah, I'm wondering where he gets the RAM for that price, as well as the model, brand, etc. of it -- same for the SCSI drives... please don't say Maxtor. :-) Otherwise, it doesn't seem that good to be true, but good nonetheless.

Oh, and Chilisoft too, I thought that was a per server license fee? No? I never bothered to look into it, since I don't believe in MS on Linux, etc. but am I wrong about it? Can you buy a license and use it on multiple servers?

The only good thing about ASP is COM and the ability to create and use your own components. Since you can't use custom components with Chilisoft running on linux, Chilisoft ASP seems pretty useless to me.

ChiliSoft as a few expensive components they will sell you but their offering is limited.

I agree, it's simply too expensive for anything remotely stable for ASP on Linux, to ever consider paying for it. If someone wants ASP, they ought to use a NT server or the like. I'm always surprised when people inquire about hosting and like all the plans and features, say they want Linux, but they aren't able to commit to the plan, because there's no ASP. I'd assume an avid ASP user would simply choose a Windows bases system. It's not worth the problems anyway -- of course, I feel the same about FrontPage extensions too, so...
