I'm trying to get a reseller taken down for copyright infringement...he has blatantly taken images and text from the company he is reselling for and has used them and has said that they are his own works....

if anyone has seen this image before please respond...I am almost positive that I have seen that lady used somewhere else...he just changed the text in the picture.

this may look like a minor case but this guy is even using "deceptive practices" to gain customers

The link to the image is

http://www.t a c i d h o s t.com/images/deluxe.gif

You will need to remove the spaces between the letters....it turns to *'s otherwise

Note:
This is in no way an advertisement...

Do not even think about believing the plan that this guy offers...yes it is way too good to be true.

If you have already used this company's services, i suggest you get a refund quick and back up your website if you haven't already done so.

Are you a copyright lawyer? Do you know one? If you've got a grudge against this company, I think you're barking up the wrong tree with this possible stolen image thing. If I were a lawyer, I wouldn't give two shakes about something that trivial. Sorry, just my opinion. It's certainly not enough to have them "taken down," unless his hosting company (you?) feels like axing a paying customer. Best case scenario, you get these people to find some OTHER stock art to replace that picture with. This wouldn't be a blip on anybody's radar screen.. let it go.

How are they defrauding customers?

i hear that they'll double charge, over charge, take an enormous amount of time to setup accounts, if they set them up at all and publish one list of services and provide a completely different list.......

akashd,

Yes I have seen that image before, in fact I have it. It comes on a photo cd that I bought. I think it might be hard to prove any type of copyright infringement with just that considering it is royalty free when you buy the photo cd.
