Being a relatively new reseller, could someone help me? In posts for requests for offers some people are looking for access to nameservers. How does a reseller provide this to a customer? Why do they need it?

You can't provide this to a customer, well not via a control panel to my knowledge. They are provided to the reseller so that people have a much harder time finding out if they are a reseller, and it allows customers to point the domain to their nameservers.
