I wish to establish contacts as sources for ideas, links, webresources, etc, with the emphasis on classroom and laboratory support. Maybe some joint papers or software development. Maybe even a discussion list or group. I recently presented a paper on extending the control of embedded computers over the internet that incorporated 6 computer languages (for the educational value). This was an exercise for students. There was very little related discussion on this topic at the conference but of course it was an educational conference (American Society for Engineering Education), not highly technical. The academic environment has different goals and problems than you practicing engineers face. We are more interested in the experience than in efficiency and economy. So, I am looking for like-motivated people. I should have been more specific. dektong, do you work with students on networking topics? Gary |
