I want to set up a server for training purposes on a DSL line. My ISP wants $50 / name to set up their DNS to point ip's or is requiring multiple MAC addys as they can-not (won't) link multiple IP's to a single MAC. >_<

What I'm looking for is a registrar or a way to basically point an IP at a virtual domain. I want to basically set it up, do some creations, setups, testing, etc in preperation to going dedicated at a later date.

I've heard of a few where you pop all your info in and they are effective right away, with no waiting for propigation beyond the initial. Help? :)

Danke!

I asked a similar question recently and was referred to these sites:

http://www.mydomain.com
http://www.easydns.com
http://www.zoneedit.com
http://www.host-route.com
http://www.dnsmanage.com

You may also want to do a search in the forums for "virtual nameserver", "URL forwarding", or "stealth" and see what you come up with.
