I started work 14 hours ago....
<edit> I look at this and shake my head ... i must be tried, or math is not my thing. Ity was at least 8, but not more than 10 hours when i started this... grrr </edit>
I have been sitting by the phone for the last 3 transferring calls to our 24 hour center. ( we are only open for 14, and then all calls are re-routed to another center)
Yesterday, my manager had some minor changes made to the way calls are routed.
Our volumes tripled from around 600 /day to 2000 in the same period.
We didn't notice that the 24 hour operation was not recieving the correct volumes until 2:00 am
We closed our center and bang. No calls coming in at all. Dialup to the helpline and get busy signals.
Open a phone and now we get " All our agents are busy.."
log out the phone and busies....
So here I am at 4:30 am transferring every call that comes in to our 24 hour operation....
It's gonna be a long night. I wonder if Tim's (http://www.timhortons.com/) delivers???
