Im currently in the market for a server. I would like a 1 or 2u (perhaps 3 max) with raid, probably IDE drvies due to price, and in general high performance. Someone reccomended qsol.com and I was very please with their prices, however cheaper would be nicer (as always). I would love to find a server for about $1000 that had good performance, but the average one Ive been looking into is going to run about 2. Anyways if anyone has any recomendations on sites or has a used one I would be interested.

I normally search for second hand server equipment on ebay. Some great bargains on new servers as well there ;)

I recently purchased a 1u server from SuperMicro http://www.supermicro.com/
I loved the way it came and the options that were available for it.

there are some servers not the best more sub ghz servers on www.retrobox.com they are very good priced, alota of stuff from dotbombs.
