I tried for two weeks but the plan I had (300) didn't support servlets so I had to drop 'em. I could have gotten servlets support by stepping up to the 400x but for less money I got my own RaQ with a lot more bandwidth.
Aside from the high price and the low bandwidth allocation I was a bit disturbed to find that you're not guaranteed any portion of the CPU. If another user has a process spinning it will slow your performance and there's basically nothing you can do about it except e-mail support. And yes, according to their info you can only call support if your host is down - otherwise you have to e-mail. It took them 2 days to respond to my e-mails so that wasn't something I'd look forward to.
I also looked at Verio's similar plan (VPS standard IIRC) but their "unlimited bandwidth" turned out to be 10G which isn't enough for me. Verio does guarantee a "fair share" of the CPU and memory.
I guess I basically found these plans better in theory than in practice when you can get a cheap RaQ and have full control and more bandwidth.

bump, anyone else have any experience wit hthis new freedom package? if not i am going to go with it.
Look, if you ask me, I will tell you to get a dedicated server. we can get a dedicated server for as low as $99 with a lot of space. memory, and bandwidth.
If you want a cheap dedicated server you might want to go with http://www.rackshack.net
