I filed my taxes electronically at the beginning of February and got my tax return back by the 14th.

I never understand why people wait so long, the sooner you get the money the more interest you earn on it. ;)

Then again, I guess I'm not one to talk about getting things done quickly... it took me 7 years to get my BSc.

I started my Canadian tax return over a month ago... The first part was easy, but then I got into the details of business expenses, which starts to get messy. I haven't had a chance to get back to them since then because I got caught up in other things. The deadline isn't until the end of April, though.

But I have to file a US tax return, too. I haven't even started that, so I better get moving!

Filing taxes when you have a business is such a pain, especially when you want to deduct the cost of equipment, use of your home/apartment, etc. If you don't, you pay through the nose, if you do, lots of headaches and paperwork. I'm just about done.

Unless you're in Canada, where no income == tax rebate. Anyone in BC who is 19 years of age or older and has no income gets $258 of tax rebates each year.

They're called "sales tax rebates" but I don't see how someone without any income can pay that much sales tax. ;)

If you can get away with working under the table i'm sure you could take advantage of it. ;)
