Racker, WELCOME and check out http://www.phpwizards.com and look for the phpmyadmin (easy to set up and easy to then set up DB's etc...). I run it on a RaQ4r.

You might want to look into the book MySQL by Paul DuBois (available on Amazon and everywhere else). It's by far the best book on MySQL, and in my opinion one of the best written technology-related books I've read.
