View Full Version : Where oh Where has my VibeHost gone?

Can anyone tell me what happened to VibeHost? My site is down, and their web site is down... again.
This has been happening quite regularly the last few weeks....
I thought these guys were supposed to be reliable. 99% uptime my a$$!
Kyle, if you're listening... please tell me the status of your servers and if this is going to be a continuing problem. Should I be looking for a new host?

Neo3Net 10-19-2002, 01:46 PM VibeHost is a good company, I have worked with them and they know what their doing. The last time I talked to kyle, he said something about a problem with their provider and they kept tunring them off. So I am sure he is working to get this all sorted out.

Why would a provider keep turning them off though?
My big concern is reliability. I can't have a site that goes down periodically. Doesn't look good to send someone to your site and have it non-functioning :( .
porcupine 10-19-2002, 03:39 PM Maybe vibehost was because they were trying to get that new car i keep seeing on tv (i have no clue who makes it, i just know the model is "vibe" [cough, lame]), maybe they got the car and are bailing out of hosting :D :laugh: :).

I'm sorry to say its the same hell we went through a few weeks back, our provider completly shut off the server without a reason they have given me, this is a serious problem and we are moving you all asap, also legal action will be taken against this terrible way to do business we have seen from them. I'm very sorry for this and we will repay you for this downtime in some way

I have tried emailing and I have tried the toll free number, but email is bouncing and phone number is just an answering machine.
What should I do? I have been with them for approximately 6 weeks, and I have been down for a total of around 2 weeks (that I've noticed...)... Is it reasonable to ask for a refund on my one year package? (hmmm.... perhaps a one year package was a bad idea...).
Sigh. What a shame. Seemed like a great deal at the time. Good package, good speeds, good support.
