Yeah, vB 2 is nice! I'm guessing they're waiting to upgrade for a few reasons: 1) it's still in beta (though I'm running it without problem), 2) the template design is much different, and would require some work.

Please, upgrade. Beta 5 is out already.

Patience... Patience...

We will upgrade to VB2 soon, probably when it is in its full release.

No, you do it now.
Does linking to WHT from my homepage will make you do it? How about all members linking to WHT? Will it do it?
Beta 5 appears to be pretty stable. Kier(Vb developer) is stating that he is pretty happy with the current release. The final version is close, I suppose.

Agreed, I been using beta 2 and now beta 5 on our forums, and it pretty stable!

Please upgrade soon so I can start a thread complaining about how the new version stinks, and ask to downgrade to VBulletin 1.1.16 :D

And next you thing you guys will want is a streaming mp3s to go with the forum? Oh, wait, I could go for that.....

Don't do it yet Matt. SitePoint has had a few probs from going for the latest versions - most people haven't noticed them but I talk a lot with Wayne and know what problems have gone on.

I know a few people who've had problems with Beta 4, but Beta 5 is cool. They are getting close to gold.
Id go for it. I need vb2. I like the Alt and S to submit a form

No matter what you say Matt's mind is made up, I know at WMF, we use a beta, I think it is a very early beta though. I do like the polling, and the PM, and it is easy to use, but the colors of this board are so nice.

LOL @ BC. That's funny how Matt fussed over 1.14 to 1.15 Upgrade.

Anyway, upgrade :)

I would like to ask PepsiCoke if he would pay for me to get the board, and I will even make you a moderator.

We have the license for VB2. I have the files. But not the time at the moment. I starting messing with beta 2 a few months back, actually got quite far into it (several hours), then the board got hacked and in a panic I deleted and replaced everything with 1.1.16. And then beta 4/5 has a different template system I believe, it would have been a waste to completed the config with beta 2. For now 1.1.16 runs fine at the moment and betas always have problems, e.g. a lot of people are still running NT 4 until Micro$oft release a few more service packs for 2000.

If someone is willing I can setup an account for them to install and configure VB 2 for WHT, obviously the db will be blank for security reasons. Contact me at admin@webhostingtalk.com and I'll give you the details, I might go as far as to throw in a Music CD of your choice if I'm impressed.
