I am looking for recommended hosts which allow resellers to have domain names that point to subdirectories of the reseller's account, such that http://www.yourclient.com serves files stored in http://www.yourdomain.com/yourclient.

with all the standard features for clients which also includes:
CPanel
PHP4 with Zend
MySQL
cgi-bin

2. I think hostroute.com has a reseller package that allows unlimited domains within a certain sized account..

Also, if you search the word 'resellers' from the top right of this screen, you may be able to sift out some appropriate CPanel resellers who allow this.

This feature is not included with Cpanel by default. The host will have had to make some modifications to the program in order to offer multiple domains (at least if you want to be able to control them from the control panel itself).

If you've got a lot of time on your hands, you might consider checking out Chicken's "ATTN ALL HOSTS" thread. :D
