Dear Guys,

Anyone knows where I can find those creditcard logo (for using 2checkout.com) and Paypal logo ?

Besides, anyone know if there is any user forum for 2checkout? If so, what is the URL of it?

Hey, seems Paypal accepting creditcard now. Anyone has any ideas on it? As I heard many "-" about paypal in here before.

Thanks so much for your ideas.

Cheers.

Actually if I remember correctly your not allowed to display the CC logos on your website unless you have an actual merchant account. Might want to check with 2checkout or other 3rd party merchant providers but I believe due to recent rule changes by visa, mc and the others it prevents you from displaying the logo of the cards if you use a 3rd party processor.

1. No, you can't use the logos if you don't have your own merchant account.

2. 2Checkout has a users forum at http://support.2checkout.com/forums/main.php

Thanks so much for your information, DanielP and fatboy.
So if I gonna use 2checkout, I can only put "carditcards" there with no credit card logo. And same situation with Paypal, if I dun guess it wrongly. Meanwhile, can I say "VISA, MASTER, AMEX and DISCOVER" with words other than logos? Or I can simply only say "CreditCard Payment" or even "2Checkout" ? Is 2Checkout only accepting the 4 cards and echeck at the moment?
Thanks so much again for all your helpful answers.;)

Yes, you should be able to write that you're able to accept Visa, MC, Amex and Discover but you can't use their logos.

Hmm...Serverplex has a site you can buy for $30 for resellers - that contains the credit cards logos? (see http://www.3o4.com/)

Many people and well respected hosting companies that use 2Checkout / Revecom / PayPal use the logos. I believe PayPal even provides such a logo, or at least they did.

Just because they use it doesnt mean its right, but what happens if you get "caught"?

I'm not sure what would happen but when I spoke to a VISA representative she stressed that I was not allowed to use the images with a 2checkout account.

Well, without me being a lawyer if I were visa this would be my case.

The person in question violated copyright laws by placing the visa/mc logo on their site. Inturn they were fraduiently mis-representing themselves as a business partner with visa and mc, due to this dis-regard for copyright laws we (visa) are claiming copyright violations and damages to visa's name due to the unauthorized use of visa's logo.

Needless to say you wouldn't win and you'd be stuck with big court costs and an even bigger bill to visa.

But then again thats how I'd play it... they'd probabbly even nail you for even more which i'm sure they could easily do.

wow, thanks so much for the ideas and suggestions. If I didnt post here just for asking where I can download those logos, I wouldnt even know I couldnt have those logos on my site.
hmm... Indeed, I think may be a self-made logo with the words "Major Credit Cards" wont do any harm, hopefully. So, we can put 2 logos there: one for Paypal and other for "Major Credit Cards". OK, anyone have those images/graphics/logos which shows the words "Major Credit Card" but not doing any harm on both visa/mc and us?

Hmm...how about those paypal buttons that say "Subscribe Now" with the visa/mc logo on it?

After doing some research, head on over to PayPal, they offer quite a few logos for use on your web site, many of which have the VISA/MC logo.

Again, I am no lawyer, neither is Daniel or many of the people who have commented on this. I think your best bet would to be contact VISA/MC directly, or try to get in touch with PayPal, I know a representative frequents these forums and find out.
