Hello,

I have a virtual account on raq3i or 4 (not sure) and I'd be curious to know is the 'Bytes Transferred' -thing in my Siteadmin a reliable way to monitor my bandwidth usage.

I'm near my limits and it's very easy for me to control bw usage by removing some mpg's if it looks like I'm going over. So I need an easy way to monitor usage. Just have heard that the Cobalt siteadmin can show wrong figures sometimes, is it so?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I believe that it is fairly accurate as it monitors HTTP, mail and FTP traffic... check out your site usage and click the 'stack' button to place the HTTP, mail and FTP stats in a single bar to see the total transferred.

Regards,

Mike

Thanks!

But can't find the 'stack' button...
Only web, ftp, email, disk to choose from. But that's not really a problem since mail and ftp traffic are on my own hands and not very busy.

Under the graph it says "Bar Placement" with a few different options. "Stack" is one of them.

There is no graph or stack option.

I even visited Cobalts website to see different raq admincenters and I found ones like you said but it's the systemadmin. I have a virtual account so I'm not the owner of this server and don't have access to the System admin.

My site admin shows only numbers...bytes transferred for each: web, ftp and email.

Thanks for your time anyway.
