I know most of you have saw my posts about the whole dialtone/netcolony/racklocation/pogolinux ordeal

We paid $700 for my racklocation server, one year in advanced. I have about $500 of credit left. I have 3 options

- Get my money refunded ($500) from PogoLinux
- Go with pogolinux, their cheapest plan, have the setup fee waived, and use the server for 3 months (which would use up my $500 credit, and continue to use and pay for it)
- Get my money back and goto another provider

Can i get some advice here?
I don't want to hear about how bad pogolinux is, we've all heard enough.

I want to know where I can get a ROCK-SOLID server, that never goes down, has great tech support, good bandwith, and they don't reboot your server for no reason. Infact, they dont touch your server period, unless you ask them to.

What else is there to ask? i can't think of anything right now, if you can think of more things i should look for in a server before purchasing let me konw on here

Like I can give an example of a GREATTTTTT dedicated server provider

Dialtoneinternet

I admit, they are awesome. They have kick ass tech support, they are always available, 24/7, you can call in any time and speak to the NOC people, it's great. Their bandwith is great also, rock solid, never goes down, never slows down for me. Some may say but you were just saying that dialtone is doing this to you and taht to you in the other thread, true, but I am not *THEIR* customer

If i was their customer it'd be different

I wish i was their customer, but dialtone is expensive as hell, but I guess thats' what you get for a great service lol

So can someone help me out here?
I need a good place, that's rock solid, for a max cost of $150 a month.

One thing i dont like is if i go with another provider my setup fee wont be waived, unlike it will be with PogoLinux

Not touching my server is a must, I hate it when providers do that, the only people I have seen do that are cobaltracks, and *****, and i really don't like ***** or cobaltacks. CObaltracks for their ****ty bandwith, and ***** for their nosyness and lack of respect for customers and their data/somethign they paid for

Fast bandwith is a must, I can't have thigns going down, i can't have slowness, and i don't need ten-second outages every 16 minutes.

Good techsupport is a must, phone preferrably. I don't want to sit around e-mailing and have a reply like "What do you want us to do??"

lol

can anyone help? with some advice? url's? prices? anything :)

Is PogoLinux willing to give you the $500 refund??

I'd recommend a Weinbar server...you get a lot more bang for your monthly buck. It's above your limit of $150/month, though.

no Win s**t for now. maybe later I'll need a few. I'm running a cobalt now but it doesn't really matter what it is as long as it don't go down and the connection is solid.

Also have recieved an offer to move my server to another backbone (Sprint, AT&T) so I don't know which offer I'll take yet.

Node9, I see you every where. Look: You can get a $150 server from Dialtone Internet, they have a wholesale program for web hosters and you can get bargains there. If you like them a lot, then try them. Romero

i doubt it, most companies use that setup to cover the costs of the server as well as the setup of the server in the noc.
