Here's my story.

Last year, november, I decided to close my reselling courier with Linuxwebhost as they are having big problems with their billing system and their support are lacking.

So I got fed up with them, and decided not to continue my web hosting business anymore. I looked around and contacted DynastyHost as they are on my contact list of ICQ and they are also Alabanza-based which I think will be the best choice for replacing Linuxwebhost for my clients.

We had settled everything, and I sold around 10 clients to DynastyHost for around $100. They said they will mail me the check once I have all the clients transfer to their server. And as I did, they said they had mailed the check. I was very happy, and waited for the check.

It was about a month later, and I was impatient and contacted them again. They apologized, asked for the address for confirmation, and claimed that they had mail it.

One month later, I still haven't got my bloody check! I was very angry and contacted them again, and they asked for my address for confirmation *again*, and asked for an alternative address, and said that they've mailed it.

Ok, now it is April, 5 months had passed since November. And I haven't got my check! I contacted them lately, by e-mail and ICQ, they ignored my mail, message and never reply to me .

Now I was very very angry about this matter, I gave my trust on a reputable host, and they cheated me. And I hope to warn you guys from this cheater, lamer, and f*cker.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU WANT ANOTHER CASE LIKE MINE.

Someone from FreeWebSpace.net suggested me to make a complaint at BBB.org, I wonder if this work?

Jeez, First off all you should not have transfer any accounts to DynastyHost untill you have at least 25% of the payment at hand.

If I remember correclty, dynastyhost was a member of this forum too... I used to see them posting here (CMIIW). I remember this because I saw them auctioning their service at ebay (specially reseller account).

In fact.. I just checked it out... There is a member with the name "Dynastyhost".... He/she used to frequent this board a lot, but I have not seen him/her around these past few months.... Good luck.

cheers,

The Better Bussiness Bureau (BBB) really doesn't do anything but inform the company of your problems. They have no legal authority or anything and the company would probably just ignore them.

You could try contacting the Federal Trade Commision, but I doubt it if that would do any good. Did you sign a legal binding contract or anything? If you didn't then you got screwed.

While I feel bad that you are getting screwed over I have to wonder what exactly made you think that DynastyHost was "reputable". I remember when he started his hosting business and decided to come to this forum and post a bunch of lame-ass messages about domain names that he had for sale or asking people what they thought about his domain names, all in apparant attempt to get his name out there and become one of the recommended hosts here at webhostingtalk.

So my question is what exactly made you think this was a "reputable" host? The fact that you saw his name on your ICQ list, or perhaps a recommendation from someone here on this forum that wouldn't know a good host from a hole in the ground? And the only basis they have for deciding who is a good host is that they think the person seems helpful in his posts here on this one forum.

Regarding your situtation, do you have anything in writing or email stating the terms of the deal? If not you probably are screweed. But maybe now that you've posted this message in public he'll show up and rectify the situation because I am sure that he doesn't want his image damaged.

Try your ICQ history or witnesses maybe who set next to you.

Andy, I am not sure how many of my clients are going to agree about the transferation. So, I asked Dynastyhost to create a unique link for my clients to sign up, and they pay me based on the number of accounts signed.

I have quite a lot of friends got their sites hosted there and feel comfortable with them last time. And they used to be very active in a few forums. So, that makes me have a illusion of them being a reputable host.

Well, I do have ICQ histories regarding this matter.

I added the owner in my ICQ myself last time. But I've forgotten why I added him.

T_T ... I was screwed...

Hopefully that the US Vietnamese owner would solve this matter here. But the chances are low.
