Im thinking about getting modernbill for my hosting company...
but I dont know if I should spend the money :\
I already have phpmanager, and I just got a authnet account. So I want my clients to be able to get instant activation, after they order and their Credit Card charge via real time processing threw authnet and the orderform.
So should I get it? Is it worth it? And can it do what im looking for?
Thanks

i use modernbill, i absolutely love it. The developers are very friendly, and if you have a problem you can always get an answer within 24 hours.

modernbill v4 will be out soon, not long afterwards, they'll have a CPanel module for integration. not sure if that's what you use, but i'm assuming this will help with instant activation. check the msg board for modernbill to see if they have other control panels in line for integration as well.

It will be worth the money in the long run

I just got it, but im having troubles installing it! getting fatal errors :(
Modernbill is good software, it just isn't good software when its first released.
I made this analogy earlier.
Imagine me selling you a car, and a monthly service plan. Then I forgot to give you the key, and it took me a week to give you the key. Not to mention there wasnt any user manual in the glove box.
For the cost of ModernBill, I don't feel I have should have to figure out how to install it. It should be laid out in simple steps, and all the tools I need to install it should come with it.
Half it is my fault, I told myself last time a new version was released I would wait two weeks before I upgraded.

Modernbill its pretty easy to install, however, I have problems trying to upgrade from 3.1.2 to 4.0.2, unfortunatelly, seems like Michael its pretty busy now, and he didn't answered any of my tickets :(

As with any new software I will give it at least a week before I upgrade.

With software as importand as billing, I give it much longer than that, because I want to make sure that all the major bugs like licensing key problems are taken care of. I also sure as heck wouldn't use an RC in a production environment either, as it is not even stable.

What is the cost of the add on modules? I see a couple on there I would want but I'm afraid of the price.

if you support is valid and not expired then it is free.
