I've heard this elsewhere too (that Yahoo is using more Google). I'd imagine those who've paid their $300 to Yahoo might be a bit miffed.

Greg Moore Definitely, big changes going to be happening this month :) mind21_98 do a search on Google and Yahoo for the same term and see for yourself.

Ha Ha Ha...funny that..because so does mine. But...mine also comes in the top three for key search terms. At least 3 that I know of...and those three terms bring in over 150 well targeted visitors a day...so google nows what will happen to my business when YAHOO comes onboard. Ha Ha Ha...I love orders!

From that explanation on their site, I wasn't clear exactly how they have shuffled in their directory and google's results. I tried a few keywords for my sites and couldn't tell either.

As you probably know, prior to this the first page was from yahoo's directory and google results thereafter(generally.)

Unrelated tidbit - yahoo just reported quarterly profits of 5 cents a share, slightly more than was anticiated by stock gurus and the company thought profits would double next year.

This change actually sucks for me. One of my sites was getting constant referrers from being listed at yahoo, but now that they completely use google, no more hits :(

As you probably know, prior to this the first page was from yahoo's directory and google results thereafter(generally.). Right... what used to be labeled as "web sites" was Yahoo directory results, and what was labelled "web pages" was from Google. The new layout is just Google; to see the Yahoo directory results you have to click on "directory" on the results page.

If there are any, "sponsored results" still come first, and then aagain at the bottom of the page... so that hasn't changed; that was the case in the old setup too.
