Do any other hosting companies on here, get tons of spam from other hosting companies?

It seems to be a new trend with us. It used to be, that we would get tons of snail mail spam from other hosting companies, and thatw as fine, cause all we did was throw it in the trash, now some are resorting to spam through email.

Here is a wonderful one we got today:

Wow I had to think again! It did get better! :D

I get a few emails like this each week. I like the one's where they offer their services, so I can become my own webhost. I especially love it when they send them to my business's email addresses :)

I get about 10 of these every week if not more.

just delete them and try to get thier network blacklisted.

So, you're saying you got spam and you don't like it so you are broadcasting it to everyone here in the forum?

Realistically, what is the point of pasting it here?

WildCard,

This is a discussion forum right? What's wrong with me wanting to discuss Hosts that Spam other hosts and showing people emails that we get? The whole point of a place like this is to give people information when researching companies. Correct me if I am wrong.

While it does somewhat give them free advertising.. I think it is good to post this information that way when Customer X comes along and want to ask about Host X and does a search they will see that Host X has been spamming people and usually not going to want to host with them.. At least I would hope not.. I have no respect for any person or company who send :spam: same with telemarketers will never get any business from me..

Alfturtle, just was curious. I don't give spam hardly a thought, I have some pretty good filters setup, so I delete and save the processor cycles from my brain for better things. :)

You were spammed?! Welcome to the Internet. Why must we all suffer the same UCE as you have? I don't think this has a place in this section of WebHostingTalk. Go talk with your mail adminstrator.

It's quite simple, just hit the delete button!

no it's not that simple, if you get as many junk e-mails per day as more common folk, you'll be able to remove most of the e-mails, but thier are few that you look at because your not sure and those are the time wasters.

I don't know about you, but 5 minutes of my time can be pleasently spent doing something else.

If you're away a few days, or ill or something and don't check your e-mail your inbox will be so full you won't get the real mail.

I recieve probabley 10-15 spam email a day. I don't need to open them, as I can see from the title or sender that they are spam. So in my case it is just as simple as hitting the delete button. I have better things to do then sit and complain about spam or sit for a few minutes each time reporting them.

Sad thing is... people still buy from spammers.
Otherwise there would be no market for spam.

Why did you bother reading any further than the first post if you feel this way?
