If I am starting a new hosting business, what is the best package that is offered in the market from the hosting companies?
Is it better to go for dedicated server, the Co-Location Hosting and what is the difference between them? Or is the reseller package is a better choice; I am paying now US$150.00/month for 6 domains.
Can I do subdomain for my client to save on paying monthly charge for each one?
What are the other available techniques to save on paying the monthly fee for each client?
My clients are small business, and they don't have a lot of hits, and I can do the support for them
Please need your help.

Hi!
Unless you're getting extraordinary service you are being sorely stung each month!
I would look out for a decent reseller package, you could practically get a dedicated machine for that amount each month!
Cheers,
Jonny.

Actually you *can* get a dedicated for that much a month - albeit not a great one. You'll find literally hundreds of reseller accounts that will cost a lot less than that. A quick look through the advertsing section of this forum will net you a lot of quality hosts, with good support, and much more affordable plans.
Can you do the support yourself? Sure thing. In fact I think you'll find it the best way to go. You'll have a better idea of how your customers are going, and probably provide a better service because of it.
**Happy note** My 1000th post here *yay* :)

I woud second (or is that third?) the comments thus far. Paying that much for only half a dozen accounts is paying a lot too much. I know someone reselling for one particular host that pays that much for 24 or 25 accounts, including the reseller account itself. If you're not comfortable administering a server yourself, you're better off sticking to reselling until you are, as long as you wind up with a good host who can manage their server(s). If you are comfortable, you can get a dedicated, even a small one, for around what you're paying or a bit more, depending on the availability of a control panel system for your users.

Hi Kate
You truly are paying far too much (a couple of hundred percent too much infact), and subsequently so would your clients be.
Are you developing the sites yourself? You should be able to settle in with a good host, and benefit from bringing multiple sites with you.
Any good host would strike up a much more beneficial deal than what you currently have.
Take a good look around.
Gary
You are paying way too much. I could not imagine how much you are charging your clients. Look for good reseller programs. There are few good ones like:
http://www.kangaweb.com
http://www.sierrahost.com
http://www.ippro.com
There are many more good ones. You just have to check thoroughly.

Kate,
Based on your questions, I would suggest you switch to a more economical reseller plan as opposed to considering a dedicated server. You clearly are not ready for one, control panel or not. A co-located server is clearly out of the question.
I've got information on my site that will explain why. Should you want to prepare for the eventuality of getting a dedicated server, there is information about that as well.
