I know this sounds a bit awkward but is there anybody who already has a credit card payment gateway and is willing to let me use it for a higher percentage discount or some monthly fee in return?

The one who does this will most certainly be violating his contracts with the bank and the cc gateway provider

Not that it would be impossible, but the bank who provides the merchant account would most certainly want to know about it and will only accept if the account holder provides sufficient guarantees...

I once asked PlanetPayment if I could use the cc gateway for other products if I should extend my activity in the future.

The answer was that basically yes, but they usually require a new account for every URL (if I used it for a second website I have to get a new account with new monthly fee of 25$)

I'm sure you're above board and everything, but it's a pretty big risk for someone to do this for you, even if it *is* legal. If for some reason you incur chargbacks through someone else's account, they'll be the one to wear losing it. I'm sure no-one wants to appear unfriendly but we all tend to cherish our credit records. Without nice clean accounts and a credit record to match most of us would be dead in the water. Almost everything online relies on plastic to get it done fast :)
