I consider myself a pretty savvy person when it comes to Linux. I can recompile kernels, update drivers, and generally make my servers dance and sing to the tune I want. However, I have spent the last 2 days tring to install damned FrontPage Extensions on a damned Linux box, and I hate it hate it hate it!
Everytime I do something its wrong, I follow the documentation precisely and its wrong. I've downgraded and upgraded apache, I've downgraded and upgraded the kernel and nothing I do will make it work...err...let me rephrase FrontPage is working..I cannot get subwebs to work. I have tried RTFM'ing and all its does is kcuf up my httpd binary.
So, I broke down and opened a ticket with RTR software. So far all they have done is sent me links to their documentation. Which I have already looked at...so I'm blowing $200 to get non-responsive support.
Okay...I feel better now :).
