I would like to move my current ebiz site from its local host(read cheap, first attempt:))to a more robust feature rich hosting service. While I have read the reviews of *****, and now would think twice, I do need the features they offer. I.E> SHoppping cart, FTP, SMPT, SSL etc, inlimted email, yadayada.. I also am somewhat new to this and need some basic building tools to help get the new site up along with the shopping cart. I cannot afford down time as I have an active site. Excuse my newbie questions, but any help would be appreciated. If you are a hosting company, please do not respond with ads for your services. I am looking for feedback from members.
Thanks again therese

Sorry, for not giving out all the correct info. I think my bandwidth needs are pretty samll right now. We get about 50 orders a day. (I want that to go up!) And it appears that we get about a 1000 hits a day. The current hosting company I'm with has NONE of these stats, one of the many reasons I need to change. So it is hard to tell whatthe actual usage is. Our catalogue needs to hold aproximately 3000-5000 products. We currently have about 1600 listed. The pages are mostly related to storefront types of pages. We also do not have graphics and descritpitons for our products, they are well known lines that the sophisticated user know. However, most of the site feedback is for pic and descritpitons of the products so we need to add those when we go to the new site/host etc. Hence my need for a robust shoppingcart/order system. While we tale SSL credit cards online we do not automatically charge them and do not want to do so in the nearterm. Therese

Budget - Woould like to stay under a 100 per month. Minimal or no setup fee's. Want the software for shopping cart/web stats, emial list etc included in the monthly charge.
Need email capability so that we can send email from ourdomain.com as well as the autoresponders, various mailboxes etc.

Space - Outside of the database req's for the product catlogue. (WOuld assume the pages are dynamically generated andnot individual pages) The site itself requires less than 20 pages. Most of this is for company info, forms (email, customer service etc). We are an authorized web retaler for many of the product lines we carry and need to display logo banners forthose manufacturers. I have no probelm in givingout the URL so that I can get help. Just didn't want anyone to think I was trying to use this forum to advertise my site. Please let me knowif supplyingthat would be helpful and the best way to do so , without violating any of the rules.
Thanks
Therese

Verio is one good ecommerce host..very reliable but expensive. go through these sites: digitalriver.com, verio.com or simply you can go to store.yahoo.com ...they offer great online business tools, with little charge. Try them out...specially the Yahoo!!
