What are some of the different ways used to track/alert to Spam and Illegal Content?

I think you check first spam.org :)

try spamcop.net there is a fee for their service, but they're quite active and can spot spams right away, and send you an alert email about it

But what about illegal content?

I reckon for illegal content, you just got to keep an eye on your customers site!
After you sign them up you can pretty much tell after the 1st couple of days what way their web site is heading.

I periodically do a wild card search for domains in the Control Panel for words that are commonly used in adult sites. :dgrin:
