Hi:
When logging into cPanel, I noticed the "disk usage" column is increasing about 5-6 megs every day, even though I haven't uploaded any new files to the server during this time. Does anyone know how this could happen? Mail server has also been disabled, so it can't be mail that's taking up more and more space on a daily basis.

Thanks,

Thanks. I thought about that, but 5-6 megs really does sound too low for it to be logs. Also, on a different host/server also with cPanel, the disk usage column remains static unless I've explicitly uploaded something...

Tar up the entire site, then the next day tar it up again and look to see what the difference a day made.

There are programs out there for comparing directories (What is in one, that is not in another, etc etc

Ok. Just wondering then, by default does cPanel count logs when it displays the "disk usage?" In other words, any other people getting the same kind of behavior with cPanel?

Yes, logs, webalizer stats, etc etc

Should be contained within your /home/user directory
