The site is about 100 megs, very low bandwidth. Needs .asp and MIME compatibility with Real, Windows Media, Flash, and Acrobat. Media to be delivered from a streaming host; I just need the metafiles to work. Need to be able to set usernames and passwords for directories.

That's it. I know this is pretty basic, but most of the services I read here are for Unix/Linux services.

For price/value - Verio is representative of regular big hosts at $50/60mb storage or $100/100mb storage. Seems like too much for too little.

O.k., some more poking around turned up some Pegasus Web (www.pwebtech.com), which has better pricing and an apparently good reputation here at webhostingtalk.

Correction: Mavcorp is not an Australian co - I picked that up off a post w/out checking. Their website says they're in CA and NJ.

MavCorp has contacts on three continents (Australia, US and UK).

The above banned host is an absolute frigging pain not only on here, but also at FreeWebSpace and SitePoint. He actually uploaded a picture of himself on SP (can't find the specific thread right now).... Wonder if he knows he's letting himself in for a bit of trouble ;)
