Ok, thanks to the good folks on this board, I found out my RAQ3 is running Apache 1.3.6

The author of mod_gzip informs me it's insufficiant for the operation of mod_gzip and that the latest version of Apache is 1.3.19.

Now the question is, is there an updated version of Apache for the RAQ3? One would think that cobalt would make packages for the latest versions as the main usage of this machine is supposidly web hosting and Apache has a major role in that.

Any info?

The bigger question is why isn't cobalt making a package to upgrade this themselves?

Cobalt has been lazy since Sun purchased them.
