Whilst I accept that WHT has an advertising forum, it is a different matter to a "wanted" forum entirely.

Could the powers that be consider striking up a Wanted forum, so that those who want to post their requirements rather than sift through the offers, may do so. And so that hosts can provide a more specific reply to these general "wanted" enquiries, without having to impose on people's Inboxes.

It's pretty easy to find what you need now, a wanted forum would simply be insane to have. Each person posting what they were looking for would have 100's of posts of hosting companies wanting their business and would slow the server down to a halt.

If there is enough demand, we may think about it. vB can only handle *so* many forums and WHT can only handle so much differentiation/dissection of areas within web hosting, you know :D

Thing is though, a large number of posters have already done so in the Advertising forum. Have a look inside - I can straight away count 4 requests (on the 1st page) for help/custom offers in that forum.

Of course we should probably think about changing the description (character limit notwithstanding) on the forum to make it clear posters can ask for offers... But most have found it OK so far :)

It is a good suggestion, however...

I think the current method of members finding hosts works fine. I find email to be better since your offer, to a member, isn't much of a discussion. Anything that can be posted can be emailed and I don't see much of a reason to create yet another forum dedicated to this at this time.

Again, all suggestions are welcome and will be considered.
