What does everyone think of the HostPRO - Interland Merge? Frankly, I think it will just make a bigger piece of crap.

I just want to see what other people think...guess I'm bored.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall. :)

Does that mean you would not recomend them? I am looking to host a webstore. Are they good at this? How reliable are they for this type of site? Do you know?

HostPro, as is, seems okay. I have no idea what will happen with them once they absorb InterLand.

I used to work for them when they were vservers. I stay in touch with them - here's the deal -- hostpro absorbed interland, they're adapting the interland name and using the hostpro setup for new customer base -- interland customers will benefit greatly -- I still like vservers/hostpro better than any of the others...

just my thoughts

I had a VServers account awhile back (before HostPro), and I must say that they had some of the best tech support I've dealt with. The down side was that the servers were slow, especially so for CGI.

Well I hope for the sake of Interland customers...that it will improve!
Only time will tell but Interland has a terrible record of support, service, etc. On top of all that they spam every chance they get.

Just finished a very bitter and expensive year with Interland (dang that PC Magazine article!). Problems were more with contracts than with service and support. O.k. if expensive technology; rotten business practices.

I love their ad that shows a flaming dollar bill. Describes my experience with them perfectly.

I know this is no news - I had noticed earlier that a lot of Interland complaints are from fall 2000. Just wanted to provide an update for spring 2001.

They are still awful.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of horror stories about Interland.

It seems the bigger the company the more it sucks.
