Well, for me, its just simple lines here and there ... You should incorporate more colors and creativity. Also you should work on your typography.

We're just judging from the screenshot you made. If you'd have posted that actual page you're talking about, maybe it wouldn't be as cheap.

Side note, saw your other post bout some layout you made that has a possible price of $300? Is this the layout you're talking about?
