I think we should have a Newbie FAQ Forum to answer all the questions, such as Can I host a site from home with a adsl connection? How do I start a web hosting business etc etc
What do you think?

i think that i'd rather have these qusetions asked again from time to time no matter how frequent - there's always someone that gives more information and teaches the rest of the community

Good point, It just seems that these same questions are asked over and over again and it's ethier the same answer or they get flamed for asking.

true..there have been a few questions that get asked about every week or so, 99.9% of the time there is at least 1 bit of new information - and those that flame the thread starter (or newbie) for asking a simple question - well i'll just say that they shouldn't be posting at all...

It's the nature of high traffic forums to have the same question asked over and over again by new people. Nothing you can really do about it. Even if there was an FAQ, 3/4 of people wouldn't bother reading it anyway. :)

I still think it'd be a good idea to create a forum dedicated to some of WHT's most useful/informal threads and have them posted as sticky's. - And this would stand as a helpful resource to everyone, not just 'newbies.'

I thought we already had a FAQ Forum (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s=). It's right next to the Please Please Please Please Please Read This Before You Post Forum (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/misc.php?s=&action=forum-rules).

The only problem with that is who decides what is useful?
I think what we need is a website that includes answers to common questions and references to useful sites/threads etc etc
We could all then submit articles/references/threads for review etc to a team of moderators, who then sort through it and post it on the site. Any Volunteers?
