Im very very disapointed  ServerSonic 09-29-2002, 05:42 PM I got this message from Locutus: Hi all, I am modifying the verification script on our server just now to fix a major bug. Unfortunately, some members will be affected by this (they will get an unlicensed IP message). I will try to resolve this asap. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regards, Locutus Looks like he is working on things. I agree that it is a disappointment, he should be taking care of this on a test server instead of working on a bug on a live system which could make or break hundreds or thousands of other companies software which they paid for. I'll be upgrading to ModernBill as soon as HostCharge finishes their MCC update. SoftWareRevue 09-29-2002, 05:43 PM You should have received an email today where they said, ". . . . . modifying the verification script on our server just now to fix a major bug. Unfortunately, some members will be affected by this (they will get an unlicensed IP message)." HostRiot 09-29-2002, 06:31 PM Yea, I got that same email. Although I thought he meant it when he said "asap" ;) lol, -HostRiot.com skoop 09-30-2002, 01:24 PM and why ask this question here, while phpManager has their own support forums at http://forums.taysoft.com ? of course it is not good when something breaks, but fixing bugs is also very important. Locutus 09-30-2002, 05:54 PM Hi, this was a major bug that we had to fix asap. Unfortunately, it was not possible to be done on our test server as the bug was affecting 10% of our clients and had to be resolved. the bug has been fixed. If you are still receiving the error, you will have to rerun your install script, but click on skip so that you don't overwrite the database. I apologise to all clients that had experienced this downtime. Regards, Locutus |
