Most hosts will accomodate you if it's a reasonable amount Greg Moore Phiberop 04-01-2001, 04:30 AM Hello, http://www.hostmatters.com offers 3 sub-domains at no charge and a $5 one-time setup thereafter. I have heard lots of good things about them. Venturesonline also has a good rep, I was with UltraspeedUSA until Dan and Paul left for Venturesonline and I must say they both provided me with great support. Hope this helps, Mike AlaskanWolf 04-01-2001, 05:03 AM Some off the top of my head would be http://venturesonline.com http://wizardshosting.com I remember seeing one host that offered unlimited sub domains..cant remember the url though easypooltutor 04-01-2001, 05:08 PM Try http://ez-web-hosting.com/ They have a hosting plan that offers unlimited sub-domains. Domain pointers 4. Webspace is this ez-web-hosting.com reputable and any good? and anyone know if they offer domain pointers? Their design doesnt exactly exude professionalism, so that is why I am asking. Any host using the standard Cpanel will be able to offer subdomains with corresponding FTP accounts. Domain pointers requires some special modifications on the host's part... but can be done. When you say "bandwidth transfer" how much are you looking for? Are you trying to track the bandwidth used by the subdomain accounts? If so... I'm not sure of any hosts that allow you to setup sub-accounts and track their data transfer usage (or even limit their webspace for that matter). Would you please clarify what you mean so that we can make a more accurate recommendation? MasterMindz 04-01-2001, 11:02 PM Well, you can always search the forum or post what you want in the advertising section. m6.net 04-01-2001, 11:17 PM And here is the link to the advertising forum http://webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=4 AussieHosts 04-02-2001, 05:34 AM <<Admin edit : post deleted by BC for breaching forum guidelines - please see your other post (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?postid=62015#post62015)>> [Edited by BC on 04-02-2001 at 06:16 AM] Phiberop 04-02-2001, 06:07 AM <<Admin edit : removed offending ad as previous post was also removed>> Seriously... read the rules before you start posting. I hear the Mods are out and about loaded and ready to go to war :D [Edited by BC on 04-02-2001 at 06:17 AM] AussieHosts 04-02-2001, 06:18 AM Seriously, you can stop following my tail around now. I only replied to those 3. :-) I still maintain that if anybody emailed me from a public discussion forum I would be onto them like a shot. Not hiding your email address on a discussion forum is not an invite for personal email. Now...onto that new post suggesting a "Wanted" forum so those dastardly posters can stop getting us helpful hosts into trouble. :-) Regards Gary Meadows BC 04-02-2001, 06:20 AM In case you haven't, check the other thread (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?postid=62012#post62012) where I explain a few things... astralexis 04-02-2001, 07:48 AM PepsiCoke: The one you've seen with unlimited subdomains might have been EliteHosts.com. They have meanwhile reduced their promises, especially no more JSP (and raised the price from 5 to 8$), but the unlimited subdomains feature is still there. The thing looks a bit weird though: e.g. they offer SSL but themselves collect CC information on a non-secure page. No reasonable contact information... NachoCabrera 04-02-2001, 12:16 PM Hi, Some hosting company offer free subdomain account as aplushosting.com for example. I am not from this company so I don't want to make his advertisement. <<MODERATOR EDIT>> Please review the forum rules (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/index.php?action=forum-rules). Second edit, three gets you banned. <</MODERATOR EDIT>> [Edited by Chicken on 04-02-2001 at 08:06 PM] Phiberop 04-02-2001, 08:01 PM The mentality of some people to advertise after a post that was flaring with advertising and admin edits regarding to the forum rules is amazing. |
