View Full Version : What has happened!
DaHost'nMan 03-31-2001, 03:20 PM Regarding UrgentHost.com,
Hi, I would like inform everyone on what has happened. I was a worker, and partner for UrgentHost.com. The CEO who owned 50% of the company doesn't have much business since at all :) . He ran the company in the ground. He shutdown the company about a week ago, he did post a message on
the site, but I think the servers went down, and he hasn't bothered to get them back up. He has blocked me out of the servers, other wise I would keep them up, so everyone would have time to move their site.
He has started a new hosting company, and I haven't heard from him in about a week.
Best Regards,
BLC
Justin S 03-31-2001, 03:24 PM Do you know the name of his new hosting company, so we'll know not to sign-up with them?
DaHost'nMan 03-31-2001, 03:28 PM The name of his new company is Secured-Net.net. His new partner is Blake Beadle. They are both teens.
Is this the same company that was up for sale on eBay?
jayglate 03-31-2001, 06:46 PM Yes, it looks like it.
DaHost'nMan 03-31-2001, 08:00 PM Yes, it is the same company that was for sale on ebay.
B.T.W.--He also lead ForgetMonthlyFees.com
SECUREDNETWORKS 04-01-2001, 06:04 PM Once we heard of Jay Betancourts history we removed him from the company and we do not know of his whereabouts as of now. This man needs to be locked up before he goes and starts another hosting company and runs it into the ground.

DaHost'nMan 04-01-2001, 06:28 PM I posted the topic because, I was getting a good bit of emails, about it. I just found out that Jay Betancourt was fired from the company.(VERY GOOD) I have talked with the other owners, and I trust them to keep a quality service.
Blake Beadle is a very good business person, and I think he can handle the job of CEO very well.
Vortech 04-01-2001, 10:51 PM Hell we just got SPAM from Secured-Net.net.... To say the least the site suck if you are going to spam me at least make it a good site..LOL
SPAM SUCKS!!!!
Also look at the images on there my dog could have done a better job then that...LOL
Note to Secured-Net.net: Don't spend so much time spamming and fix them images...
Woody 04-01-2001, 10:59 PM Did you ever think it might not me the actually workers or admins, but a user on Secured-net? Not sayin it was, but you might want to keep that in mind.
Vortech 04-01-2001, 11:03 PM Why whould one of there user send me a e-mail for http://www.Secured-Net.net for hosting i just see that happening. ;)
SECUREDNETWORKS 04-01-2001, 11:12 PM Sorry, we do not send spam, we advertise legitly by focusing on our clients and making our service better. Also, if someone did spam please forward the email to support@secured-net.net and it will be fought vigorously.
cbaker17 04-01-2001, 11:16 PM Yea their site is SOOOOOO SLOOOOOWWWW
cbaker17 04-01-2001, 11:18 PM I also love how their emergency support line is a answering machine with a computer generated voice...
SECUREDNETWORKS 04-01-2001, 11:19 PM What does all this have to do with this forum? We work hard to provide good service, and people like you come in here and do this it does not help us. We do not appreciate this and would request this forum to be deleted imedietly.
Vortech 04-01-2001, 11:36 PM Well you will get a e-mail first thing tomorrow once I get back to the office that I got right from you inside you network for hosting with you. Plus I will post it here.
You said: ( What does all this have to do with this forum? ) Well simple I would not host and I would not want any one to host with some one that spams. For just a few reasons your line will be cut customers will leave and you will go out of biz. That’s easy if you did not send its all good. But we do trace routes on every spam we get and report it to there back bone as needed. This is how I know it was from you as not only the web address but traced back to you as well.
P.S. To cbaker17 well they have to be on a T1 or less from what i can tell. There netblock is only 31 IP's and its with Earthlink/mindspring not sure what you can do with 31 IP's.
TO: SECUREDNETWORKS once i send you the e-mail if you can prove you did not send it then i am sorry for the post other wise i am not becase i hate spam just as much as the next guy.
SECUREDNETWORKS 04-01-2001, 11:40 PM What email adress did it come off of?
SECUREDNETWORKS 04-01-2001, 11:41 PM Also its a T1 and it has 32 ip's. And we also have a redundent T1 line from metanet.
cbaker17 04-01-2001, 11:51 PM Well your T1's maxed then you need to upgrade, nobodys going to want to host with you at 56k speeds..... Just a little friendly advice....
SECUREDNETWORKS 04-01-2001, 11:53 PM It obviously not us because were only using 15 % of the line. I would check your connection maybe that is the problem.
Woody 04-02-2001, 12:01 AM Since I've been here (a very short time) I have noticed that a few people here have a habbit of doing this. Secured-net was first brought up as being a run on of Urgenthost. Secured-net came in here and said that was wrong. Securednet was then acused of spamming which should have been delt with off the forum. And to add to all that people are complaing about desighn and speed. Speed was actually great for me and although the desighn isn't great, it isn't the worst either. I have seen a lot of things worse then that. All in all, a few of youREALLY need to calm down and stop being such jerks to people that have done nothing to deserve it.
Vortech 04-02-2001, 12:29 AM TO: SECUREDNETWORKS
I will send it over to you as soon as i get to the office i don't remmber every thing in the e-mail. You will see it. Like i said if you did not send i am sorry for bring it up. But from what i saw it was all you.
TO: Woody
I am by far not being mean to SECUREDNETWORKS. I just hate spam. I am sure you would to if you got at much as we have over the years. I don't know SECUREDNETWORKS at all never talked to him in my life. Only things i knwo about them is a spam ( that came from them or some oen that knows them ) there site from here and what has been said on here about them before me. There site was very slow loading for me as well so i do think they check there lines. I am on a cable mondem and have dsl here at my home and slow on both for me.
If is miss spelled some things sorry its late and dark in this room :) and have to get to bed now.
SECUREDNETWORKS 04-02-2001, 12:32 AM If we find that it was spam off of us, it was probly that Jay Betancourt guy that sent it:) That sounds like somthing he would do but we shall see. All I can say is i'm glad I found out about that guy's background because he seriously needs to be delt with.
cbaker17 04-02-2001, 12:59 AM Why would you smile about spam, and im on a cable modem here as well and I can donload 400 megs in less than like 10 minutes right now so its not my connection, you guys are very slow for one reason or another.. ANd im not trying to be a dick, just letting you know what I exp. so maybe you can bring it up with your isp...
SECUREDNETWORKS 04-02-2001, 01:52 AM Spam is not funny, and you are probly and a bad route to me. Someone between me and you has a high ping.

Didn't it come up before that secured-networks runs on a 1.5Mbps SDSL line from mindspring?
BTW, 1.5Mbps SDSL != T1.
SECUREDNETWORKS 04-02-2001, 10:25 AM Anything else anyone would like to say to damage our buisness any further?
I have no ulterior motive in saying what I say - I do not operate or have a stake in any web hosting business.
I would say the same things about my provider, or anyone else, if I feel they're justified.
In your defence, my traceroute to you seems to show that your network connectivity is fine and is not overloaded at this point in time. Misrepresentation of services or resources is not a good thing, however.
Exbodyguard 04-02-2001, 01:07 PM I dont knopw about spamming, but i wouldnt host with some one who wont sign their name, or give a contact phone # on their site, nbot that it cant be found... but i'm lazy...
UNIXIELHOST 04-03-2001, 11:22 PM securenetworks,
upgrade to OC155Mpbs, you'll thank me so do your customers
Doing business off on a T1 wont be a smart choice
BUT if to do your personal site on T1, fine!
Aviendha 04-05-2001, 10:39 AM Securednet's webpage isn't even coming up. I'm just getting a blue background. And that took forever to load :) Oh, and I'm on a T1 connection :)

Stop whining about the comments that people are saying. They are just trying to help you out. You gotta learn to take everything silently, then WOW them later on. Its just a primary fact of business that whining wont get you anywhere.
