How many of you actually had your own TOS drawn up by a lawyer? Anyone know of any sites that have public or free TOS contracts. I'd rather not pay a lawyer $500 to draw up one. Is it 'ok' to just steal another sites and modify it?

Thanks again guys, you're great!

Your better off looking at other sites for reference then having a lawyer do it unless they specialize in Internet Law, becuase a typical business lawyer dosen't know enough about the Internet to include all thats necessary in the document, But I myself know about Internet Law, and I bought some Inet Law, and Contract\policy books, and I can say that may AUP, TOS, etc are more complete than anything ive seen on the net......

not all content in others TOS will be contextual to you ... since you might be different countries with different laws .
but most of the basic content is simmilar I guess

neufusion,

Ours was not drawn up by a lawyer, but if you would like you can check ours out.

It's definitely not a 'one-size fits all' TOS, so you will probably want to have a look at a few other hosting companies TOS's also to determine what exactly should be in there.

Anyways, Good luck! :)

Look at 2-3 other hosts TOS, and make your own based on other peoples.. dont copy word for word and make it relevant to your host.. that way you should be covered pretty well and you wont get blamed for copying ;)
