An amateur graphics designer here, but has the potential of becoming bigtime:D and make money making web page template. I have some baby questions here, that i hope the masters and the fathers can give the answer.

1. For example a site that requires 4 pages, do i have to make 4 pages?

2. What if it has a buy or order button, do i have to provide a page for it?

Thanks!

Sorry, don't want to be rude, but if you can't answer these two simple questions by yourself, don't expect any "bigtimes" in your career.

hint: what is the purpose of the template?

Hello Jeffrey,

We all have to start as a beginner....

1. For example a site that requires 4 pages, do i have to make 4 pages?

No that is the point of creating a template. Create one main page that will be your look and feel for your whole website. Then you just paste your copy in the text area within your graphics etc.

2. What if it has a buy or order button, do i have to provide a page for it?

Integration into a shopping cart may require a little more effort. Depending on the ecommerce software. Some ecommerce packages allow you to setup your website using templates built into the software. It is really a balance of time or dollars.

Good luck with your template project.

Cheers

Well...you can start using Frontpage if you want to make only static sites. Try some designing there. Learn some Photoshop and Flash for graphics.

Atlonim , my question may appear stupid, but knowledgeable people always ask questions. Peace.:). By the way, i'm a positive person, a dreamer, a pursuer. I believe a gonna make bigtime.

Ultravox , I have Dreamweaver here, is Frontpage better than DW?

Actually, i'm already making website(s) as a hobby for quite some time now. I just don't have any idea what a template is or its requirements. Also did a few simple graphic images for myself.

Thanks.
