Well, let me do half the work for you then -

For plesk - check webhostsupply.com

For h-sphere - check webauthorities.com

For cpanel - check the forum archive of webhostingtalk.com

For ensim - there is no reseller program; check the forum archive of webhostingtalk.com if you are looking for past sale by individuals.

1) hsphere is typically between 4-4.50 per license (purchased in 50 license batch) and you can retain ownership of the license.

2) cpanel is between 65-99/month

3) Plesk 799 (see above)

4) don't know about ensim

If you do your due dilligence then you would have been able to come up with these prices in about 1 minute.

1) hsphere is typically between 4-4.50 per license (purchased in 50 license batch) and you can retain ownership of the license. That's for external licencing. Internal licencing can go down to about $2 per licence.

2) cpanel is between 65-99/monthCheapest external licence at the moment @ $58 a month:

http://www.nixhosting.com/index.php?page=cpanel.html

Internal licencing can go down to around the $30 mark depending on the company and your ability to negotiate.

4) don't know about ensim$99 on time for a 100 domain licence and $199 on time for an unlimited licence (this is the pricing for Linux). There is occasionally a reseller that will knock a few dollars off that, but it won't be much...

You can purchase ENSIM 3.11 Unlimited from http://www.MegaNetServe.com an official reseller of ENSIM. I asked them for pricing yesterday. Its $119.00 plus 8.25% Sales Tax if you are in California.

I wish ENSIM supported FreeBSD :bawling:

I wondered why Dixiesys is testing out Ensim when all their other 13 servers are Plesk based.

$119 compared to $799 per server is a huge difference.

Well... we see that nixhosting either didn’t read their cpanel licensing agreement or isn't a direct distributor, otherwise they'd know that advertising the license on their site for anything less than stated in the standard contract is breaking their agreement.

There is a reason for the list of distributors on cpanel.net

Didn't Cpanel drop their pricing? Because I've seen more then just nixhosting offering it lower then $65/mo for external licenses recently :)

That and the fact its in his sig on the Cpanel forums....

No, they haven't dropped the cost of external licenses yet but it appears their no longer enforcing the advertising rates, go figure its the current distributors who hear about it last :uhh:

Yer damn skippy it is :)

Actually I've been paying $199 direct to ensim for all my Ensims and $640 and change direct to plesk as a platinum partner.

You can bet though that $119 has my UNdivided attention.

Me too! :/

Unless iptables support traffic accounting based on UID for incoming AND outgoing. At the moment you can use the ipt_owner module, but that only accounts incoming data.

Edit:

My fault, ipt_owner module only supports outgoing data, not incoming.

Ensim has become a VERY hard bear to work with though. You gotta install to the letter, then hope you have all your ducks in a row.

Then trying to manage it....

It is fine for little sites, but we had a site for a very popular radio station that we tried on Ensim (1 million hits per day +) and it nearly died. CPanel took it in stride though.....

Just my two cents....
