In search of a dedicated server with the following specs for a friend:

P3 1GHZ
1 Gig Ram
Dual 18gig SCSI HD's Raid Setup
50 gigs transfer (additional transfer should be under $3/gig)

Friend would be willing to pay a setup fee ($500-$1,000) to get the monthly cost down to the $200 range..

Let me know if you know some one or if you can do something like this. A control panel would be nice as well since he is not a web guru..

Your looking at about $400 to 500 a month with a 500 setup on this puppy.

If your still interested, I can give you more info.

Thanks, but as I said he would rather "pay" to have extra stuff added upfront then pay extra each month. But I will let him know your offer..

Something in this range will cost $1300 setup at $200/mo.

That sounds better, and around what I think he wants to spend at the top of his scale (setup fee) and I will run it by him. Does that include a control panel, or setup of his domains (a handfull) as I think he might need it.

After only getting a few replies I think he says he might now consider running dual 30 gig IDE drives. What would you all quote for this.
