Sure-- I apologize for that.
We are getting around 300-500 uniques daily. For the past 2 weeks we have been sending traffic from NexAds, so we have established some unpaid traffic to the site. Now that we have "officially launched", and we are beginning to sell ads on the site, we are buying sponsorships on various webmater-related sites, ppc engines, and also through a hosting-centric networks.
While 80% of our current traffic is paid for, we are slowly increasing the amount of returning visitors.

As you may notice, Dan Ushmans (dkAds) new venture HostSkin is being advertised on the site. I'll see if he wouldn't mind sharing his results he has had on our site.

Please feel free to post questions here.

Thanks

Zachary

Another thing, I realize no one wants to tie their ad budget up with a newer directory. In attempt to patch that, I'll even be willing to give showcase spots for the entirety of campaigns for free. With the current special, thats a $30 savings a month, but at our normal prices, thats a $100 savings.

Thanks

To whom it might concern :)

My experience:

The banner on your site has converted to at least one sale so far.

But, the ad tracking software is a pain to use...

Overall: not to much traffic, but what they have is good.

Thanks Dan..
We do plan to add in our proprietary ad software, but just to clarify, our current software will only track 1 lead from the same IP in 24 hours.

500 uniques daily? :stickout lol

You've managed to obtain not just 500 unique visitors, but 500 hosting targeted/perspective customers daily in only two weeks time of marketing? Who are you kidding. Honestly, I am not one of these dicks that patrols WHT looking to flame and stir up trouble. I wish you the best of luck and hope your telling the truth. But I mean come on now, your forums are no indication of the numbers you claim.

Nevertheless sorry for this post, but it must be addressed.

I did not say "hosting targeted" or even that 100% of the traffic is seeking a host, but I have "managed" to send between 400-550 potential clients to RateMyHost. Potential meaning a very large majority of the traffic is webmasters-- thus, they pay for hosting, so that clearly makes them a potential client.
Also, the first day we were up we received 350 unique visitors. The time means nothing, and having 500 uniques a day means nothing either, simply because 80% is paid for. (as I said).

My forums account for 0% of the traffic to RateMyHost. As you can see, we have 8 registered members, 2 of which are my accounts, so it would obviously be foolish to claim any traffic from that. I'm not sure how you assumed I was even indicating that my forum was accounting for the numbers I mentioned?

Another thing, before you "must address" something, please be sure to read carefully. In our media kit (http://www.ratemyhost.com/advertise.php), it clearly defines our audience, which should ultimately answer your concern.
Please keep the questions coming..

The success of a main page is soon accompanied by the success of a forum. If you have gotten several thousand uniques to your main page. Surely your forum would be more populated, no? Your numbers are inflated. But, this is none of my business.

Much success to you, even if you wish me the opposite. ;)

I don't wish anyone failure, but you should find facts before making assumptions

For one, our forums were down for several days, because we were switching them over to Invision. Secondly, it's not as easy to build a forum by sending several thousand visitors to the main page. We have nothing going on in our forums, so what intrigued a large portion of those visitors to sign up?

Kid-- stay out of my thread unless you have something pertaining to the subject. This thread is for me to advertise my new hosting directory that I'm spending a fortune on advertising. I've been spending a small fortune for the past 2 weeks, and now I'm starting to sell ads on the page. Your ridiculous assumptions are not helping a bit.

I get 300-500+ uniques a day. Thats that.. I'm not sure why this is so hard for you to believe, but if it is, don't sign up. I have 2 advertisers right now that are both happy with the results, so I feel I'm creating an environment for web hosts to pitch their products to visitors that actually convert.

If you would like to flame my services-- go for it. But-- please make a new thread. I'll be perfectly happy to join in.
