Hi hows everybody doing? I needed help on how and what do i need to be able to make people click on a link on my site and be able to download anything i have up either music or picture i made.
I have my hosting set up with godaddy. And i called them and asked them about this problem and there telling me i have to purchase there shopping cart plan in order to do this .
And some people are saying there just trying to get money from me,but i have no idea how to make this happen, can anybody please help me

Do you need have a need to charge people for downloading files? In other words, are you selling these items?

No, I am not charging everything will be free.

Then all you need to do is upload files; build some web pages.
These are basic tasks that any web host should be able to help you with. They should have a comprehensive tutorial and knowledge base to which you can turn to. You'll need a FTP or sftp or scp client to be able to upload files (or they may provide a web form as part of a "control panel" to do so).
If you are uploading just a few files then you don't need much.
If it is hundreds or thousands, then you are going to want some sort of gallery system, or content management application.
Or maybe you just need a weblog.
So much choice. Its up to you to define EXACTLY what you want to do. Perhaps you think you have, but you have not. Bottom line: your hosting company should a) support you on this and b) have some on-line resources that you can explore and learn a few things so you can a) ask better questions and b) make some decisions.
