Put the current time on the profile page, its hard to see if the person is active currently.

Best way to search for someone that isnt online is by their posts, just search for a user and it will give you the date and time of their last post. Surely you'll see them making posts if they are online, or they'll be on messengers... (and obviousely you'd know their handles because you're intimate enough to want to know when they're online) |
